Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold in the UK

Kaelor supplies the Chinese-market Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold with Korean software installed by Kaelor. This guide explains what that configuration means for buyers in the UK and separates our own use from manufacturer specifications.

Quick answer

  • Google Play: Works on the configuration we supply.
  • Google Wallet: Contactless payment worked during our use in the UK.
  • UK mobile use: Calls, 4G and 5G worked with Lebara during our use.
  • Banking apps: Monzo and Nationwide login and transfers worked during our use.
  • Android Auto: Available with the Korean software supplied, based on Samsung's Korean model documentation and the delivered software configuration.
  • eSIM and Samsung Pay: Not available on this configuration.

Other networks, banking apps, vehicles and software versions have not all been tested. Availability can change after system, app or service updates.

Hardware and software version

The phone is Chinese-market hardware. Kaelor installs Korean software before sale; installing that software does not turn the hardware into a Korean-market device. We state the hardware region and installed software separately on each listing.

UK mobile networks

Samsung's Chinese-market specification lists common UK 4G bands including B1, B3, B7, B8, B20 and B28, and 5G bands including n1, n3, n28 and n78. During our own UK use, Lebara calls, 4G and 5G worked normally.

Bands alone cannot confirm every network feature. Coverage, 5G access, VoLTE, Wi-Fi Calling and account provisioning depend on the carrier, plan, location and software. Ask your network before ordering if a particular feature is essential.

Google Play, Wallet and banking apps

Google Play and Google Wallet work on the configuration Kaelor supplies. We used Google Wallet for contactless payment and used Monzo and Nationwide for login and transfers in the UK.

This is practical experience with the supplied configuration, not certification of every bank or every future software version. A banking app can change its security requirements independently of the phone.

eSIM, Samsung Pay and Android Auto

This configuration uses physical SIMs; eSIM is not available. Samsung Pay is also not available. Google Wallet is the contactless payment option we used.

Android Auto is available with the Korean software supplied. Vehicle, cable, wireless connection and app support can vary, so contact us before ordering if a particular car setup is essential.
