Who we share it with
- Shopify, which hosts our store and processes orders (Shopify's own privacy policy applies to its processing).
- Payment providers — [Shopify Payments / PayPal] — to take payment and prevent fraud.
- Carriers — [Royal Mail / DPD / DHL] — your name, address and phone number, so they can deliver.
- The manufacturer's service centre, if your device is sent for a warranty repair: the device and its fault description, not your personal details beyond what's needed for the repair record.
- Professional advisers or authorities where the law requires.
We don't sell your data.
Where it goes
Shopify stores data on servers that may be outside the UK; transfers are covered by the UK's adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses. Warranty repairs may involve sending a device to China — the device, not your personal data, unless you've left data on it (please wipe it first).
How long we keep it
Order records: 6 years after the order (tax and warranty). Messages: 2 years after our last exchange. Marketing consent: until you withdraw it. Browsing data: [per Shopify defaults / X months].
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, object to processing, or take your data elsewhere. Email support@kaelordevices.co.uk; we reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
